1. Who we are
Sated Health Private Limited ("Sated", "we", "us") operates the website sated.health and provides doctor-supervised metabolic and weight management programs to residents of India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information, including sensitive personal data and health information, in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 ("SPDI Rules").
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information directly from you:
- Identification & contact details: name, phone number, email address, city.
- Health & biometric information: age, gender, height, weight, BMI, medical history, current medications, prior weight management attempts. We collect this through our eligibility quiz, intake forms and during consultations.
- Clinical records: bloodwork results, prescriptions, doctor notes and progress measurements collected during your program.
- Payment information: processed by our PCI-DSS compliant payment partners. We do not store card numbers on our servers.
- Technical data: IP address, device type, browser, referring URLs, pages visited, collected via cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
3. How we use your information
- To determine medical eligibility for our program.
- To schedule and conduct telemedicine consultations with our licensed physicians.
- To deliver coaching, follow-up care and ongoing clinical supervision.
- To process payments and issue invoices.
- To send appointment reminders, program updates and educational content via WhatsApp, SMS, email or phone (only with your consent).
- To comply with applicable medical record-keeping laws, including the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020.
- To improve our services through aggregated, anonymised analytics.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process your personal data based on your explicit consent, the necessity of providing medical services you have requested, and our legitimate interests in operating a safe, lawful healthcare practice. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at privacy@sated.health.
5. Sharing & disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Treating clinicians: our empanelled physicians, dietitians and coaches who provide care to you.
- Diagnostic & pharmacy partners: to order lab tests or facilitate prescription fulfilment, with your consent.
- Service providers: hosting, communications (WhatsApp Business API, email/SMS gateways), payment processors and analytics tools, bound by confidentiality and data-protection contracts.
- Regulators and law enforcement: when required by Indian law, court order or to protect rights and safety.
6. Data storage & security
Your data is stored on encrypted servers located in India and in regions with adequate data protection standards. We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, role-based access controls and audit logging. Medical records are retained for a minimum of three years from the date of the last consultation, as required by Indian medical regulations, and may be retained longer where lawfully required.
7. Your rights under the DPDP Act
- Right to access your personal data and obtain a copy.
- Right to correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure (subject to medical record retention obligations).
- Right to withdraw consent for non-essential processing.
- Right to grievance redressal — see Section 10.
- Right to nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity.

9. Children
Our services are intended for adults aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
